Remembering Ret. Lieutenant Robert “Bobby” Craig Chandler

Ret. Lieutenant Robert “Bobby” Craig Chandler, 72, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on April 6, 2026, in Intensive Specialty Hospital after his battle with oral squamous cell carcinoma.

Bobby was born on October 22,1953 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He loved his 27 year career with the Shreveport Police Department. After retirement, he found love in gun collecting, hunting, fishing, gardening, taking care of his indoor cat, Buddiegirl (16 years old) and all of his outdoor cats. He loved his routine and his simple trips to Brookshires. He was a caring and kind soul.

He will be deeply missed by anyone who knew him.

Bobby is preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Chandler, and his father, Delton Chandler.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy Allen Chandler; their three sons, Brandon Chandler and wife, Kim Ann Chandler of Ridgeway, Virginia, Clayton Chandler and wife, Whitney Chandler of New York, New York, and Bryan Chandler and wife, Destiney Chandler of Shreveport, Louisiana; sister, Deborah Chandler Zumo; and brother, Delroy Chandler; grandchildren, Justin, Kendall, Cason, Remington, Knox, Dailey, Vanessa and Greyson.
