Conditions remain warm and mostly dry through midweek across both Caddo and Bossier parishes before a wetter, more active pattern moves in heading into the weekend.
Wednesday brings a mix of clouds and sun, starting mostly cloudy in the morning before becoming partly cloudy by afternoon. Highs will again reach the mid-80s with south winds increasing to 10 to 15 mph.
By Wednesday night, clouds increase with a slight chance of showers after midnight. Lows will be in the upper 60s with a 20% chance of rain.
Thursday marks a more active weather pattern, with cloudy skies and a chance of showers throughout the day. A slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning will increase to a better chance by the afternoon. Highs will fall to the lower 80s with south winds of 10 to 15 mph and gusts up to 25 mph. Rain chances rise to about 50%.
Thursday night will be mostly cloudy early, becoming partly cloudy with lows in the mid-60s.
Looking ahead to Friday, skies will stay mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. Highs will return to the mid-80s with a 40% chance of rain.
Friday night brings a continued chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially after midnight, with lows in the mid-60s and rain chances increasing to 50%.
The weekend is expected to turn more unsettled, with Saturday bringing a strong chance of thunderstorms and showers. Highs will drop into the mid-70s with an 80% chance of rain. Much cooler air moves in Saturday night, with mostly cloudy skies and lows dipping into the upper 40s.
Sunday will remain mostly cloudy with a slight chance of morning showers and highs in the upper 60s. Skies begin to clear slightly by Sunday night, with lows falling into the mid-40s.
Early next week looks quieter, with partly cloudy skies and highs returning to the upper 60s.
