Shreveport woman arrested for theft, child endangerment at local Walmart

The Shreveport Police Department reported the arrest of a woman following a theft incident at a local retail store on March 22.

Officers responded to a Walmart on Bert Kouns Industrial Loop after store asset protection personnel observed a suspect concealing merchandise and attempting to leave without paying. The suspect, identified as Autumn Blue, allegedly exited the store with $228.88 worth of unpaid items while accompanied by her 7-year-old child.

Police said Blue had previously been banned from the store and has prior theft-related convictions. During the arrest, officers also reported that she was in possession of marijuana.

Blue was charged with habitual offender theft, criminal trespass, possession of marijuana, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Authorities used the incident to emphasize the importance of responsible decision-making, particularly when children are present.
