Bossier Sheriff swears in five new personnel during ceremony

Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington administered the Oath of Affirmation during a swearing-in ceremony held this morning for five new employees joining the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The ceremony took place in the Sheriff’s Conference Room at the Bossier Sheriff’s Command Center.

Newly sworn deputies include Chris Ackerman, Blake Ennis and Curmincia Stumon. The department also welcomed Hunter Craig, who joins as a corrections officer, and Michael Lauseng, who joins as a maintenance employee.

According to the sheriff’s office, the deputies and the corrections officer will begin their assignments at one of the agency’s correctional facilities as they start their careers with the department.

Sheriff Whittington welcomed the new deputies, commending them for choosing to serve their community and join the agency.

The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office continues to recruit individuals interested in pursuing careers in law enforcement. Applicants must be at least 21 years old to apply for deputy positions. Those interested in becoming corrections officers may apply at 18 years of age.
