The Shreveport Police Department has identified a suspect in connection with the theft of a firearm from a convenience store earlier this year.
According to police, the incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. on Feb. 23 in the 4000 block of Jewella Avenue in Shreveport.
Through investigative resources and information gathered during the case, detectives identified the suspect as Chad Raymond Taylor. Authorities said an arrest warrant has been submitted charging Taylor with one count of theft of a firearm.
Investigators are still seeking information about Taylor’s whereabouts. Officials noted that stolen firearms are often later used in violent crimes, making cases like this a priority for law enforcement.
Anyone with information on Taylor’s location is asked to contact the Shreveport Police Department at 318-673-7300 or submit an anonymous tip through Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
