Bossier City housing authority opens waiting list for 3/4 bedroom public housing units

The Housing Authority of the City of Bossier City has opened its public housing waiting list for low-income families seeking three- and four-bedroom units.

Applications opened on March 10, and will remain available until 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17. All applications must be submitted online through the housing authority’s website.

The waiting list will be used to place eligible families in line for available public housing units. Applications will be ranked based on the date and time the electronic application is submitted and a confirmation number is received.

Applicants must provide a valid email address, names, Social Security numbers, and birthdates for all household members included on the application, a valid mailing address, and the total household income. Applicants are also encouraged to have a pen and paper available to record their confirmation number after submission.

Online applications can be completed through the housing authority’s website at Housing Authority of the City of Bossier City portal at https://thehabc.org/apply-for-housing/.

No paper applications will be available.

Individuals needing assistance completing the application due to a disability may receive help by phone by calling 318-698-3636 or 318-698-3632. If the application cannot be completed by telephone, appointments may be scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. or from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
