A man was arrested late Friday night after reportedly walking nude in the street and later resisting arrest, according to the Shreveport Police Department.

Officers were dispatched around 11:31 p.m. on Feb. 13 to the area of Hearne Avenue and Lakeshore Drive following reports of a nude male in the roadway.

Upon arrival, officers located the individual in the parking lot of a nearby liquor store. Police say the suspect fled when approached and then physically resisted officers as they attempted to take him into custody.

After a brief struggle, officers were able to safely arrest the man. The Shreveport Fire Department responded to the scene and treated the suspect for minor injuries sustained during the incident.

The man was booked on charges of obscenity and resisting an officer with force or violence.

Authorities reported that no officers were seriously injured during the encounter.
