Shreveport Regional Airport: Weather update

Shreveport Regional Airport officials provided an update Sunday evening on airfield conditions as crews continue recovery efforts following winter weather impacts across the region.

As of 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 25, airport crews were working around the clock to clear and treat runways, taxiways, and aircraft aprons to ensure safe operating conditions. Based on current weather and progress, airport officials anticipate the airfield could reopen sometime Monday afternoon, Jan. 26, allowing airlines the opportunity to resume flight operations thereafter.

Airport officials emphasized that reopening remains dependent on continued improvements in weather and surface conditions.

Travelers are encouraged to check directly with their airlines for the most current flight status and scheduling information before heading to the airport.
