Shreveport Police officers responded to a call for service regarding indecent exposure at a local business after a female employee reported a disturbing encounter.
The caller advised that she was returning to work from her break when she observed a white male standing near the entrance of the business with his genitals exposed, touching himself in an explicit manner. The victim stated she was afraid to reenter the business due to the subject’s proximity to the doorway and his continued actions.
The victim further reported that the subject began yelling at her while continuing the explicit behavior. A second employee approached the entrance and instructed the subject to stop; however, he refused and continued the act.
Responding officers reviewed surveillance video from the business, which clearly captured the incident as described by the victims. Officers quickly located the suspect in close proximity to the business and took him into custody without incident.
The suspect was identified as Jason Foster, who has been arrested and charged with two counts of Obscenity, in violation of Louisiana Revised Statute 14:106.
The crime of obscenity is the intentional:
(1) Exposure of the genitals, pubic hair, anus, vulva, or female breast nipples in any public place or place open to the public view, or in any prison or jail, with the intent of arousing sexual desire or which appeals to prurient interest or is patently offensive.
The Shreveport Police Department takes crimes of this nature seriously and encourages anyone who witnesses similar behavior to report it immediately.
