WAXAHACHIE, TEXAS – The LSU Shreveport men’s basketball team rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit to defeat Florida Memorial 94-88 Monday night, getting 24 points, 15 rebounds, five assists and three blocked shots from Hayden Brittingham and a 20-point night from Red River Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week Khi Wallace.

Improving to 8-3 after the out-of-conference matchup, the Pilots overcame a determined FMU squad that fell to 7-3.

Emareyon McDonald contributed 15 points and five assists while Alexzaye Johnson added 11 points and seven assists.

Trailing in the first 20 minutes of the neutral site contest, LSUS flipped the script in the second half, with Brittingham’s layup at 14:23 giving the Pilots their first lead of the half at 56-55. Thaddeus Johnson followed with a momentum-shifting dunk to push LSUS ahead 60-55.

The game-changer came when Wallace caught fire, scoring eight consecutive points starting with a thunderous dunk that extended LSUS’s lead to 62-55. The Pilots didn’t trail again.

Wallace, a sophomore, earned his RRAC award with two double-doubles as LSUS defeated LSUA, 98–90, and Louisiana Christian, 78–57 last week.

Against LSUA, Wallace delivered a monster outing with 28 points and 16 rebounds. He followed that performance with 17 points and 13 rebounds versus LCU, while also contributing three steals and two blocks

LSUS returns home to The Dock to face the University of the Southwest Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in a RRAC doubleheader starting with a women’s contest at 5:30.
