The Oil City Police Department responded to a disturbance involving 26-year-old Rotreyvion Young, who committed domestic abuse battery against his live-in girlfriend on Sept. 17. After the incident, Young exited the building and directed profanities at several witnesses who had observed the altercation. He then fled the scene and spent a significant portion of the mid-morning and early afternoon hours in and out of the woods located beside the apartment complex.
To locate him, CPSO patrol units established a perimeter with assistance from Caddo Narcotics, the drone team led by Sgt. Brian Johnson, and K9 officer Jacob Vaitkus. Sgt. Matthew Frizzell and Deputy J. Presley eventually found Young running through a field. Deputies took Young into custody without incident and booked him into CCC on charges of domestic abuse battery and fleeing from an officer.
