Shreveport Police officers responded to a call in the 9400 block of Normandie Drive regarding a disorderly person inside a residence on Sept. 13 at approximately 5:20am.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the complainant, who stated she found a 23-year-old male, later identified as Skylard Tiner, lying on the floor inside her home. The complainant advised that Tiner had come to the residence to see her 16-year-old daughter and that she struck him after discovering him inside without her permission.
During the investigation, officers learned that Tiner and the juvenile had been communicating through
Instagram. The complainant provided messages where the juvenile informed Tiner that she was only 16 years old and a junior in high school, telling him, “you’re too grown for me.” Despite being aware of her age, Tiner reportedly continued the conversation and made inappropriate and explicit sexual references.
Tiner was arrested and booked into the Shreveport City Jail before being transferred to Caddo Correctional Center. He is charged with Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile.
