DOTD reminds motorists that beginning on today, Sept. 8, there will be a closure of the SOUTHBOUND lanes of Clyde Fant Parkway in Shreveport at the Jimmie Davis Bridge (LA 511) overpass.
This closure is scheduled to be in place for approximately two weeks, and is necessary to allow the contractor for the ongoing $360 million Jimmie Davis Bridge replacement project to perform roadway repairs on Clyde Fant Parkway.
The northbound lanes of Clyde Fant Parkway will remain open, as well as the on-ramp to LA 511 (E. 70th St) westbound, and the Jimmie Davis Bridge itself. The ramp to LA 511 eastbound will be closed as part of these repairs.
