Dr. Anjelica Hart and Fred Moss from Southern University at Shreveport’s Division of Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education (AHSSE) joined Calvary Baptist Church for its Back-to-School Night on Sunday, Aug. 10, offering vital support to students and families.

The event brought together the community to prepare learners for the upcoming academic year. Dr. Hart and Mr. Moss provided mental health resources and products designed to meet the needs of students from elementary school through college. Their efforts aimed to promote emotional wellness, resilience, and academic success across all age groups.

Through this outreach, the AHSSE Division reaffirmed its commitment to supporting both the educational and emotional well-being of students in the Shreveport community
