The Shreveport Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at approximately 5:30pm at the intersection of Greenwood Road and Mission Street.

Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision and arrived to find both vehicles with significant damage. The driver of a Mercedes CTS was located unconscious and suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The second vehicle involved was a 2015 Dodge Challenger. The driver of that vehicle cooperated with officers and submitted to standard field sobriety testing. At this time, no signs of impairment are suspected.
