The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office has issued another scam alert. 

 

The latest scam making the rounds involves callers claiming the potential victim has missed jury duty and now a federal warrant has been issued for their arrest. The scammers will even offer the victim a chance to pay a lower fine if the victim follows their instructions.

 

Remember – legitimate law enforcement agencies will not ask for money over the phone. If anyone gets a call like this, just hang up. Stay vigilant. Talk to family and friends so they don’t fall victim either.
