Crews battle duplex fire on Robinson Place

Shreveport Fire Department received a call for a report of a house fire in the 300 block of Robinson Pl. on Saturday, April 12, at 1:07 p.m. The 911 call was placed by a neighboring resident.

Truck 7 arrived on scene at 1:11pm and reported heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of a single-story duplex. The home sustained heavy fire damage as did a nearby structure from the exposure’s proximity the radiant heat.

It took the efforts of 8 fire units and 24 firefighters to bring the incident under control at 1:32pm. At this time there have been no reported injuries to any citizens or firefighters. The origin and cause of the fire remains under investigation by Shreveport Fire Arson Investigators.
