Planned water interruption for two streets off Princeton Rd., leading to boil advisory

The Consolidated Water/Sewerage District #1 announces a planned water service interruption for residents living on Jester and Mayfield Streets in Princeton. This morning, beginning at 9am, work crews will replace a leaking valve on the main water line servicing the homes on the streets.

Before the repairs begin, water service to homes on the two streets will temporarily be shut off while work crews repair the leaking valve. This shut-off will result in a boil advisory for the affected residents.

Boil advisory instructions: Residents are advised to boil water for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, or brushing their teeth. The advisory will remain in effect until further notice.

The Bossier Parish Police Jury understands the inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the public’s patience as the BPPJ work to improve the infrastructure in the community. For more information, contact the Consolidated Water/Sewerage District #1 at 318-742-9748.
