
A two-story home in south Shreveport on Sunday afternoon caught fire, prompting a significant emergency response from the Shreveport Fire Department.
Firefighters were dispatched to the 300 block of Robbins Place at approximately 4:02pm on March 30, where they found the wood-frame structure almost entirely engulfed, with heavy smoke and flames visible.
Engine 22 initiated an aggressive interior attack, but worsening conditions forced crews to shift to a defensive strategy. Ultimately, a total of 12 fire units responded, with Caddo Fire District 5 providing mutual aid. The Shreveport Police Department assisted with aerial drone footage for firefighting operations, while SFD utilized drones for investigative purposes.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
