The Bossier City Police Dept. responded to a report of a shooting victim just after midnight on March 26 in the 1400 Blk of Beverly Street. Officers arrived to find a 20-year-old Black female suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. The victim was transported to Ochsner but was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Her name has not yet been released. 

The shooter has been identified as a 21-year-old Black male. He was taken into custody by the Bossier City Police Department.

This incident is still under investigation.
