The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office has warned the public about a text-based scam about unpaid toll bills.

The CPSO warns the public to not click on the link one might receive via text that says the recipient owes money on unpaid toll bills that must be paid by a certain date. Recipients should not provide personal information; they should not pay the bill over the phone. 

CPSO also reminds the public that no one from the CPSO will ask for payments for fines over the phone. They will also never ask for payment over the phone.
