Top-seeded Calvary boys begin playoffs tonight at home, Bossier hosts Tuesday second-rounder

Only five local boys basketball teams remain after the first round of the LHSAA playoffs were staged Friday, and two host second-round games, Calvary and Bossier.

Calvary, the No. 1 seed in Select Division III, plays tonight following a first-round bye. Bossier, seeded sixth in Non-Select Division II, is home Tuesday evening on the heels of a solid first-round victory.

After winning first-round games, Airline, Parkway and Huntington will carry the District 1-5A banner on the road.  Airline pulled the biggest upset in the Division I bracket as the 28th seed, going south and eliminating No. 5 Northshore Friday night.

The 1-5A champion, Natchitoches Central, had a first-round bye and hosts Neville Tuesday night.
