Caddo Parish Animal Services in need of short-term fosters

With more winter weather on the way and more dogs in need coming into the shelter daily, Caddo Parish Animal Services are still at capacity and need short-term foster homes (1-2 weeks).

Animal Services has put everything they know about these dogs as a caption on each photo on this Facebook post. They cannot say whether a dog will specifically get along with dogs or cats, as every family is different.

All dogs will be microchipped, and vaccinated before leaving the shelter, and they will need to be picked up ASAP.

Coming to the shelter in-person is the best way to help. Possible fosterers can meet the dogs and see who is the best fit. Ask questions on the Facebook post or email sgray@caddo.gov. Call 318-226-6624 and ask for Stacy, voicemails will be returned as time allows.

Foster requirements include having photo ID and completing the foster application. For unaltered animals, fosterers must be a Caddo Parish resident with photo ID. If fostering an unaltered dog, any dogs in the home must be spayed/neutered.
