The Caddo Parish Sherriff’s Office has advised the public of a recent phone scam targeting residents of Caddo Parish. Investigators from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office have reported that scammers are impersonating the Honorable Judge Chris Victory and the Caddo Parish Clerk of Court, Mike Spence.
During these calls, the scammers demand money, claiming that there is a warrant for the individual’s arrest due to failure to appear for jury duty. It is important to understand that no one from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office will ever request payments over the phone or ask for payment by mail.
These scammers have already targeted multiple individuals. If anyone receives a call like this, hang up immediately. Do not make any payments, provide personal information, or share details about gift or money cards. Stay safe and vigilant.
If anyone suspects that they may have an arrest warrant in Caddo Parish, they can check by visiting the CPSO website. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on “Active Warrants.” Enter name, and any outstanding warrants associated with that name will appear.
