Bossier City Fire Department Chief of Fire Prevention J. P. Phillip retires after 31 years

Bossier City Fire Department Chief of Fire Prevention J. P. Phillips is retiring after serving Bossier City for 31 years. Chief Phillips is one of the most respected fire professionals in this region.

Bossier City Mayor Chandler said that Chief Phillips’ “experience and exceptional Professionalism will definitely be missed” as he thanked him for his service and wished him well in his retirement.

Chief Phillips said that he had a great career and he thanks “God for protecting him and bringing him to the end of his career journey.” Chief Phillips said that a career of serving his community has been his greatest honor.

As Chief Phillips enters retirement he said he is thankful and excited and is looking forward to doing what matters most to him, which is spending time enjoying his lovely wife and family. Chief Phillips’ retirement celebration was well attended and all those present wishes him a long and happy retirement.
