SPD patrol officers stopped a black Hyundai Elantra for speeding 76 mph in a 60 mph zone on I-20 West at Jewella Avenue on Feb. 5. What started as a routine stop turned into a significant drug and firearm seizure.
Officers discovered over two pounds of marijuana and multiple smaller packages. Four of the five occupants were arrested or issued summonses and now face drug and gun-related charges.
Brandon Washington (DOB: 12/8/2002) was arrested on charges of Possession of Schedule I with Intent to Distribute, Illegal Carrying of Weapons w/ Drugs, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Speeding, and No Driver’s License.
Javon Green (DOB: 2/13/2000) was arrested on charges of Possession of Schedule I with Intent to Distribute, and Illegal Carrying of Weapons w/ Drugs.
Jordan Fuggins (DOB: 11/23/2000) was issued a summons for Possession of ~26g of Marijuana.
Miracle Washington (DOBL 4/16/2000) was also issued a summons for Possession of ~8.6g of Marijuana
