The P.B.S. Pinchback Park youth baseball/softball field upgrades are moving right along as scheduled. The turf field contractor will finish installing the new infield turf this week. Thereafter, new ball field/dugout/back stop fencing will be installed.
Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association Youth Development Foundation awarded Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation $50,000 to assist with upgrade costs for this $400,000 capital project.
This newly constructed youth baseball field (located at 7903 Jefferson Paige Rd. in Shreveport) will open to the public sometime in April 2025 and will serve as Caddo Parish Park and Recreation Department’s primary youth development baseball/softball field for girls and boys, ages 3- 10.
