Mayor Tommy Chandler and Bossier City officials encourage citizens to prepare as frigid weather returns to the area.
The National Weather Service has issued a forecast for the area – cold and bitterly cold at that. An artic air mass will move in late this weekend impacting the entire area through much of the work week. Cold Weather Advisories and even Extreme Cold Weather Warnings are possible if not expected, mainly for wind chill values ranging from the lower teens to lower 20s.
Citizens are reminded to prepare, stay safe, and make sure that to check on the elderly and others that may need assistance. As always during this extreme weather protect People, Pets, Pipes and Plants. Stay alert because there is high difficulty in the forecast as very small shifts will lead to very large changes in impacts. Mayor Chandler encourages everyone to “Stay Warm and Stay Safe.”
