Woman jailed for threatening Shreveport City Council member

A woman who threatened harm to a member of the Shreveport City Council has been arrested. 

Sherrell Morris, 42, turned up at the home of Shreveport City Council Vice Chair Ursula Bowman on Tuesday night, Jan. 14. It has been reported by SPD that the dispute is personal in nature. 

Following the incident, Morris was arrested for Simple Assault. She has been booked into Shreveport City Jail. 

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
