Sheriff Whittington has announced an extension for the payment of property taxes due to a delay in the delivery of property tax notices that was beyond the control of the Sheriff’s Office. Tax payments may now be made without penalty until January 31, 2025.

 

Sheriff Whittington stated, “We understand that residents rely on receiving their tax notices on time, and we are committed to ensuring that everyone has sufficient time to make their payments. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we resolve this matter”. The Sheriff’s Office is working to ensure that all notices are mailed out this week.

 

“We appreciate the patience and understanding from our residents as we work through this issue”, Sheriff Whittington added. “Our goal is to provide clear communication and make the property tax process as seamless as possible for everyone.”
