Officials with the Bossier Parish Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No.1 have issued a boil advisory for customers on the Village Water System. Customers on all of Villa Lane, Villa Circle, Wafer Road north of Crestwell Drive, to Winfield Road, including Lindsey Road; Cannon Road, and Amanda, Lane.
The advisory was issued because the main line lost pressure due to a scheduled repair to the main line. Officials say the advisory will affect an estimated 140 meters, or 420 customers, on the system. It follows an interruption in service affecting residents living in the aforementioned areas. The water for the residents will be turned off while work crews replace the water valves at the respective locations, beginning at 10pm. Officials say customers should expect their service to be restored as of 5am this morning.
Water samples will be sent to the LA Dept. of Health Lab for testing. Customers are advised to boil their water for consumption until further notice.
