SPD is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Jacorey Harris, a suspect wanted for attempted murder following a shooting incident. 

On Nov. 6, around 4:45pm, officers from the SPD Violent Crimes Apprehension Team (VCAT) were executing a search warrant on Abilene Street when they were flagged down by a male victim who reported that he had just been shot on E. 81st Street. Detectives with VCAT responded to the scene and obtained information indicating that Harris attempted to rob the victim before firing several shots at him.

Detectives have since obtained a warrant for Jacorey Harris, who is charged with attempted murder, with a bond set at $1,250,000. Harris is known to frequent the Cedar Grove area and is considered armed and dangerous.
