The City of Shreveport reported on Oct. 10  that the SporTran’s contracted bus tracking system experienced an irreparable failure. They apologized for the inconvenience and directed passengers to use the PDF schedules available at sportran.org. They further announced that these schedules would be in use until the new Avail Technologies system comes online in early 2025. 

They added that this failure does not affect SporTran OnDemand microtransit and ADA transport riders. Passengers can continue to book those services normally on the SporTran OnDemand app.
