Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington says that a 13-year-old Benton Middle School student has been arrested for Terrorizing after making social media threats against the school. Bossier deputies began an investigation when the threats were brought to their attention by a concerned parent based on social media posts made by the student.
The student was arrested and charged with one count of Terrorizing.
Sheriff Whittington would like to encourage parents to discuss the dangers of making threats on social media or otherwise with their children, and to emphasize that there are consequences for these actions even if they are deemed to be false.
