Myself and many of my colleagues on the Shreveport City Council are concerned about the deplorable conditions at our police station and we are ready for leadership and action.

This is not a new issue and this isn’t the first time, myself and other council-members, have engaged the police chief and mayor in making a move, in fact two mayors and two police chiefs have been aware of this issue.

The officers deserve better and our citizens deserve better. It’s time for our leaders to start moving our officers out of this dangerous working environment.
