
A Public Hearing of the Bossier Sheriff’s Office will be held on Monday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. in the conference room at the Bossier Sheriff’s Office Viking Drive Substation, located at 2510 Viking Drive in Bossier City to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rates after reassessment and rolling forward to rates not to exceed the prior year’s maximum. A PUBLIC MEETING will be held immediately following the adjournment of the public hearing to adopt the millage rate(s) discussed in the public hearing.
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 7, Section 23(C) of the Louisiana Constitution and R.S. 47:1705(8) that a public hearing of the Law Enforcement District of Bossier Parish will be held at the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Substation, located at 2510 Viking Drive, Bossier City, LA on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rates after reassessment and rolling forward to rates not to exceed the prior year’s maximum.
The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected in the next year from the increased millage is $20,057,563 and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $2,002,786.
Immediately felling adjournment of this public hearing, a public meeting will be held to adopt millage rate(s).
