Deputies in the housing unit found a 56-year-old man unresponsive in his cell during a welfare check on July 27 around 3:26 am. Deputies and medical staff immediately performed life-saving measures on the male until Shreveport Fire Department arrived on the scene. The Fire Department transported the male to Willis Knighton North (2474 Greenwood Road Shreveport, LA), where he was pronounced deceased by the medical staff.

Caddo Sheriff’s Investigators are on the scene conducting an investigation into this incident.
