A report came in on December 30th, at 6:18 a.m. to the Shreveport Police Department (SPD), concerning shots fired in the vicinity of 5100 block, South Lakeshore Drive, specifically at the Summer Pointe Apartments. Upon arrival, officers found that an individual had encountered two men attempting to break into his vehicle.

The victim, armed at the time, initially detained the suspects at gunpoint. However, according to the police, the victim eventually allowed the suspects to flee. As they made their escape in what is believed to be a dark gray Kia or Nissan, the suspects discharged multiple shots toward the victim, hitting other vehicles parked nearby, as confirmed by the SPD.

The gunfire resulted in the victim sustaining a minor facial injury, presumably caused by either a bullet fragment or shattered glass.
