The upcoming Christmas holiday brings about a shift in the garbage collection schedule for Shreveport residents. Mayor Tom Arceneaux has announced the revised collection dates to accommodate the festive season.

Revised Collection Schedule:

• Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023: Collection for Monday’s garbage.
• Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023: Collection for Tuesday’s garbage.
• Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023: Collection for Thursday’s garbage.
• Friday, Dec. 29, 2023: Collection for Friday’s garbage.

The Solid Waste Office is ready to assist with heavy item pickups on future collection days. Residents seeking more information or wishing to request a bulky item pickup can contact the Solid Waste Office at (318) 673 – 6300.

The Woolworth Road Regional Solid Waste Facility will be closed on December 25th, 2023. For inquiries about this facility, individuals can contact (218) 925 – 5300.

Note: No bulk collections are scheduled for this week; all heavy items requested will be scheduled for future collection days.
