How local teams stack up as high school soccer gets underway

By DAVID ERSOFF, Journal Sports

The 2023-2024 LHSAA High School Soccer season officially began Monday. Many weeks of training is being converted into competition which could carry some Caddo-Bossier teams to the state playoffs and if recent trends continue, state championship contention.

The Shreveport-Bossier Journal will be conducting a coaches’ poll every week, aimed for publication on Tuesdays. There is a wide range of coaches participating in the poll, helping it to be as accurate as possible and to build excitement among the high school soccer community here in our corner of northwest Louisiana.

Here are the results of our preseason polls for local boys and girls teams, as voted by head coaches who graciously have agreed to participate.
