BTW, Green Oaks square off in 50th ‘Soul Bowl’

JOURNAL SPORTS

Green Oaks will host Booker T. Washington in the 50th annual “Soul Bowl” this afternoon at BTW’s Leonard C. Barnes Stadium. Kickoff is 5 p.m.

Both teams are 1-1 on the season. The Lions enter the game after a big 52-6 win over Bolton on the road while Green Oaks had the week off after having to forfeit last week’s game with Carroll, following a 12-6 overtime victory in Week 1 over Southwood.

The Giants claimed last year’s game 28-6 for their only win on the season. Green Oaks has won five of the last six in the spirited series.
