North Caddo looks to add to run of successful seasons

North Caddo enters the 2023 season on a good roll and hopes to continue its winning ways —  four straight winning seasons and nine consecutive playoff berths.

Both streaks are school records as the Titans had never had more than two consecutive winning seasons or playoff appearances.

Under new head coach – and former defensive coordinator — Chase Thompson, North Caddo starts the season at Bossier’s Memorial Stadium. The Bearkats lead the overall series 24-5 but the Titans have won three of the last four.

A trip to Springhill takes North Caddo to a Week 2 collision with North Webster. The Knights lead the series 4-2 since the Webster Parish school was consolidated and renamed, and adding in the success of the former Springhill Lumberjacks, own the series overall, 43-11-2.

Bolton of Alexandria will kick off the home slate in Vivian’s Sanders-Prudhomme Stadium. The Titans have played the Bears each of the last four seasons, winning all four.

A trip to Monroe to face Class 4A perennial power Neville is up next. The Tigers have won the three times these teams have played.

The final non-district opponent, West Ouachita, is the second home game of the season. The Titans took a 28-27 win last year on the road in the only game between the schools.

District 1-2A play begins at Calvary. The Cavaliers have not lost a district game since 2012, a streak of 53 games. They have also won all 13 games with the Titans.

North Caddo plays three of the last four games at home with Lakeside being the first of the three. The Titans lead that series 13-6.

The last road game of the season is with Green Oaks at Northwood’s Jerry Burton Stadium. The Giants will be celebrating their homecoming and looking to improve on their 10-8 series advantage.

North Caddo will host Loyola for its homecoming at Sanders-Prudhomme Stadium. The Flyers have the 32-19 series lead.

The final regular season game has D’Arbonne Woods traveling in from Farmerville. North Caddo has won all five games in a series that dates back to 2017.
