Sheriff Julian C. Whittington and the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the owner Tim Jett and the Jett Business Systems Incorporated team who hosted this year’s “Feed the Cops” luncheon on June 30.

Over two hundred meals were provided by Silver Star Smokehouse, Podnuh’s BBQ and Bodacious BBQ. The meals were served by the Jett Business Systems team as a token of their appreciation.

Four years ago, Mr. Jett founded “Feed the Cops” after hearing a story of two cops in New York who had bleach poured into their drinks.

Jett remembers saying, “With all the chaos going on in this world these guys can’t even get a decent meal. I wanted to show my appreciation to local law enforcement in the Shreveport area. This year we have expanded to local law enforcement and firefighters in Bossier Parish. We are honored to serve the men and women in blue as they fight to keep our cities safe.”
