Parkway opened District 1-5A baseball play with a 15-0 three-inning rout of Southwood Wednesday afternoon at home.
The Panthers (12-3, 1-0) took advantage of nine walks and nine hits, scoring in each of the three innings. Shawn Driggers led the team in hits with three in three at bats, while Zach Schoenborn had a pair that included a double and two RBI. Sean Waits was 2-for-2, Trenton Lape had a double, two walks and scored three times. Barrett Newman also scored three times on three walks.
Driggers worked two innings on the mound, allowing two hits and striking out three to get the win.
The two schools will meet again on Saturday at Southwood.
