Thanksgiving week is the time of year many schools aspire to be practicing for its next game. Three of the Shreveport-Bossier Journal teams advanced to the quarterfinals of the LHSAA football playoffs.
All three schools will be making the trip to south Louisiana. In Select Division I No. 5 Northwood (9-2) will be in New Orleans to play Brother Martin (7-5). Sixth ranked Byrd (8-3) will also be in New Orleans to battle John Curtis (9-2), the No. 3 seed.
In Select Division III No. 5 Calvary (9-2) will be in Baton Rouge to play No. 4 Dunham (10-1).
