Greedy Williams, Ar’Darius Washington make 2022 debuts; Dak’s next

By ROY LANG III, Journal Sports

Things are looking up on the health front for our group of local NFL players.

Cornerback products Greedy Williams (Calvary) and Ar’Darius Washington (Evangel) made their 2022 NFL debuts Sunday. Williams returned from a hamstring injury for Cleveland while Washington was promoted from Baltimore’s practice squad.

Dak Prescott (Haughton) is likely to return to action Sunday for the first time since Week 1. Buffalo is off this week, but the return of Tre’Davious White could be right around the corner.

Meanwhile, Devin White is a machine in Tampa Bay.

LOCAL NFL STARS: 2022 Week 6 Updates

Terrace Marshall Jr., Carolina (22, WR, Parkway)

Collected just one target (no catch) on 20 snaps against the Los Angeles Rams.

Israel Mukuamu, Dallas (22, S, Parkway)

Played just two snaps on defense and 18 special-team plays at Philadelphia.

Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys (29, QB, Haughton)

The Mississippi State product appears ready to go against Detroit on Sunday at AT&T Stadium. He’s been out of action since Week 1 and the Cowboys desperately need a spark on offense to complement the top-notch defense.

Robert Rochell, Los Angeles Rams (24, DB, Fair Park)

Did not see action on defense against Carolina, but played 85 percent (22 snaps) of the plays on special teams.

L’Jarius Sneed, Kansas City (25, DB, Minden)

Played every one of the 73 snaps on defense in the loss to Buffalo on Sunday. The Louisiana Tech product made eight tackles, including one for a loss. Quarterbacks have completed 34 of 45 passes for 355 yards and a touchdown when targeting Sneed in coverage. He’s still searching for his first interception of the season.

Marquez Stevenson, Buffalo (23, WR, Northwood)

Still on injured reserve after foot surgery without a timetable to return.

Trent Taylor, Cincinnati (28, WR, Evangel)

Played just three snaps on offense in the Superdome on Sunday, but returned a couple of punts for a total of 33 yards. However, he lost his first fumble in the league since 2018. Does not have a target this season.

Jerry Tillery, Los Angeles Chargers (25, DL, Evangel)

Participated in a season-best 50 percent of the snaps on defense. He contributed one tackle.

Ar’Darius Washington, Baltimore (22, S, Evangel)

Promoted from the Ravens’ practice squad and saw his first action of the season. He played 12 snaps on defense and six snaps on special teams. The Giants did not target Washington in coverage Sunday.

Devin White, Tampa Bay (24, LB, North Webster)

This won’t surprise anyone, but White has participated in every one of the Buccaneers’ defensive plays this season. Piled up eight tackles and a pass defended against the Steelers on Sunday.

Tre’Davious White, Buffalo (27, DB, Green Oaks)

The Bills are on a bye this week, giving White (knee) time to get ready for a possible return Oct. 30 against the Green Bay Packers.

Greedy Williams, Cleveland (24, DB, Calvary)

Made his 2022 debut Sunday against New England and played more than 50 percent of the Browns’ snaps on defense. Williams made one tackle. When targeting Williams in coverage Sunday, the Patriots were 4-of-4 for 45 yards and a touchdown.

Rodarius Williams, New York Giants (25, DB, Calvary)

Has yet to be activated (surgery for a bone spur in his knee).

Brandon Wilson, Cincinnati (28, DB, Calvary Baptist)

On the PUP list.

Donovan Wilson, Dallas Cowboys (27, S, Woodlawn)

Played 80 percent of the snaps against the Eagles and contributed five tackles and one quarterback hit. However, he allowed his first touchdown of the season in coverage – DeVonta Smith’s 7-yard grab to push the Eagles’ advantage to two scores with 7 minutes remaining in the game.
