Unbeaten Parkway continues to lead the Shreveport-Bossier Journal Top 10 poll and Airline’s third straight win has it rising up from No. 5 to No. 2.
The Vikings’ convincing 42-14 defeat of Captain Shreve, which has been as high as No. 2 and spent most of the season at No. 3, has Airline (3-3 overall) tied at the top of District 1-5A with Parkway at 3-0.
Three other schools moved up but none as much as Haughton. The Bucs went from No. 8 to No. 4 after their 23-14 win over Byrd. The Yellow Jackets had been the poll leader up until last week’s loss to Benton. Calvary and Northwood both moved up one spot. The Cavs are now tied with Byrd at No. 5 and the Falcons are tied with Captain Shreve at No. 8.
Benton stays at No. 3 after a big win in Natchitoches over the NCHS Chiefs. Huntington remains at No. 7 after a shutout win over BTW. Evangel moves into the poll at No. 10 despite a one-point loss to Northwood.
