Thursday night games are not always the big games of the week for high school football, but this week is one of the exceptions with key District 1-5A and 1-4A matchups starting the week’s schedule tonight.

The big rivalry between Captain Shreve and Byrd is now more than just that, with both schools expected to compete for the District 1-5A title for the second consecutive year. Huntington at Northwood might not be a big rivalry, at least not to the extent as the aforementioned, but it is a collision of two favorites in District 1-4A.

Here is the list of  local LHSAA football games for the fourth week of the season (all games kick off at 7 p.m.):
