Parkway’s Williams heads District 1-5A girls All-District


Mikaylah Williams of district champion Parkway was named the Most Valuable Player and her coach Gloria Williams was named the Coach of the Year on the girls 1-5A All-District team selected by league coaches.

Williams led the Lady Panthers to a perfect 14-0 district mark in a district that had all eight teams make the playoffs. She averaged 22.6 points per game and 8.1 rebounds on the season.

Coach Williams helped lead the squad to a 33-3 record. Parkway finished as the Class 5A state runner-up, after a double-overtime 80-79 outcome against Ponchatoula.
