Adult male arrested for sexual offenses involving juvenile

The Shreveport Police Department has arrested Devin Clarkson (DOB: 03/02/2000) in connection with an investigation involving a juvenile victim.

On January 12, 2026, detectives were notified while officers were interviewing a runaway juvenile who had been located. During the course of that investigation, statements were made that led detectives to believe the 14-year-old juvenile had engaged in sexual activity with an adult male and had been provided marijuana by that same individual.

As part of the investigation, a Sexual Assault Forensic Exam (PERK) was conducted, and evidence was collected. Devin Clarkson was subsequently identified as the suspect and later contacted by detectives. After being advised of his rights, Clarkson acknowledged knowing the victim but initially denied any sexual contact. He voluntarily provided a DNA sample.

Further forensic analysis contradicted Clarkson’s statements and confirmed his involvement.

On April 8, 2026, detectives made contact with Clarkson at his residence, where he was taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, a large quantity of suspected marijuana was observed in plain view inside the residence.

Clarkson has been charged with the following:

• Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile (LRS 14:80)

• Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile (LRS 14:81)

• Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor (LRS 14:92(A)(7))

• Possession of Marijuana Over 15 Grams (LRS 40:966)

This case highlights the serious and ongoing commitment of the Shreveport Police Department to protect juveniles and hold offenders accountable.
